Ideas Festival in Chelmsford October 2015

4 October 2015

This year’s Ideas Festival theme ‘Connect’ aims to encourage new and lasting links between our city communities: connections between business, local authorities, schools, Anglia Ruskin University, Writtle College and voluntary groups. The theme brings together scientists and creatives, people from different cultures, young and old. We hope the festival will do this by showcasing and encouraging participation in the wonderful work happening locally. Many of our events provide opportunities to learn new skills and contribute to the life of our city.

Highlights include the spectacular Engineering Fair at Anglia Ruskin University, talks from Matthew Taylor, Chief Executive of the Royal Society of Arts; Nick Alston, Police and Crime Commissioner for Essex as well as the latest news from e2v regarding the New Horizon’s mission. There are also inspirational delights from Chelmsford historians, musicians, urbanists, academics, beekeepers and baristas.
